Ever since planning her mother’s baby shower for her little brother at the age of 10, Jordan Laursen has been hooked on managing events. Now as the Events Manager at ISG, Jordan is not only tasked with planning internal conferences and celebrations, but also a wide variety of external events, ensuring ISG stays involved in the community, industry, and world-at-large. Growing up in a small town in southwest Minnesota, ISG Architect Jeremy Wiesen loved the contrast he saw when traveling to larger areas and the idea of being able to positively shape the environment that people interact with every day. Now, with more than 11 years of work in the Mankato area, Jeremy has had the opportunity to do just that. In recognition of his efforts, Jeremy was recently nominated for the Mankato Free Press’ 2019 Best of Mankato: Architect award. Voting began on April 7, and runs through May 6. Having earned a Bachelor’s in Biological Systems Engineering from Iowa State University, Graduate Engineer Bailey Griffin brings a specialized skillset to the civil department at ISG, helping provide partners and clients with innovative water quality solutions on a wide variety of projects. Bailey carries her passion for the water outside of the office as well, and on summer days can be found boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, or fishing at her family cabin on Lake Jefferson.
Fascinated by architecture from a young age, Kelsey moved away from the Green Bay area to a big city to attend The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee to follow her dream of studying architecture. Now, as an Architectural Designer and employee owner at ISG, Kelsey has realized that there’s no better place for her than Green Bay. Back at home, she not only lives out her dreams designing and managing facilities, but also leads ISGers to events to educate youth about careers in A/E. In fact, Kelsey is so committed to her industry that she takes on architecture projects off the clock—she and her husband are currently redoing their 100-year-old house! After becoming an ISG employee owner in June 2018, Accounts Receivable Manager Jen Fahey can now say she’s worked in four different industries. Now, Jen helps keep things moving efficiently in ISG’s accounting department. Outside of the office, Jen enjoys spending time with family, watching the Minnesota Vikings, and reading Harry Potter. Growing up in Beardstown, Illinois, Tim Verheyen, PE learned a lot about working hard from his parents, who owned a small business. The youngest of three boys, he also became a little competitive. Now, Tim brings these traits to his role as Civil Engineering Principal in ISG’s Waterloo, IA office where he ensures that ISG stands above the competition to best serve clients.
Whitney Stramer likes to create, and her creations know no bounds. In her role as a Graduate Engineer at ISG, she creates both designs and positive relationships with co-employee owners and clients. Whitney builds these relationships outside the office with her volunteering, whether working for non-profits or mentoring high school students. As if that wasn’t enough, the self-admitted “avid plant lady” is also a huge fan of DIYs and crafting. Read on to learn more about Whitney!
A veteran of the United States Navy, Civil Engineer Evan Del Val now charts his own course as an ISG Employee Owner, and boards a smaller ship (his kayak) to navigate the rivers of Greater Des Moines when the temperature allows. In sub-zero temperatures, you can find him spending time with his family, or braving the outdoors on cross-country skis or a snowboard.
